The Solitaire sails out from the mouth of the river Tyne

10 Feb 1998. 3.00pm. The 50,000-tonne Solitaire ( worlds largest pipe laying vessel ) is towed out
of the mouth of the Tyne. Aprox 3000 men have worked over two years on the Â£150 million contract.
